Long-standing effect for Gen Z and Millennials.

This generations are at a critical point in their lives. It leaves them with a feeling of being left out. However, their generation cared already about climate change, global warming. The daily fear, not only for the virus but also for the impact of an extended quarantine. 62% of them are terrified of having to stay at home for a long time. Despite they are already looking for things to fill their day. During quarantine, ¾ of them are at home working part-time or full-time. When we are talking about students, we can say that the schools of 9/10 are closed. 


Gen Z and Millennials have changed their attitude very rapidly as they realized that the COVID-19 virus affect their lives. Over two weeks, the number of 13-39-year-olds who stated that their life was changed increased from 69% to 93%. Anxiousness of Gen Z and Millennials rose from 34% to 49%.

One of the essential underlying threats created by this pandemic is that, as a consequence of the lockdown, the youth will be bored and develop mental problems, such as anxiety, depression, suicide, and bullying. Therefore, companies or initiatives must help these people very rapidly. Via digital platforms and apps, companies could offer this help. A lot of companies have responded very actively and built these platforms. Also, a lot of international organizations, such as the World Health Organization, are taking the lead in this fight against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. They also are accommodating to combat misinformation. The latter only creates confusion in the minds of the youth and could be detrimental to their mental health.
